Internship
Internship Description
During my internship at 94.1FM The River, I had the opportunity to engage in high school football sideline reporting, an experience that was both exhilarating and educational. Each game day, I arrived at the stadium early to prepare by gathering vital information about the competing teams, players, and any relevant statistics, which allowed me to deliver insightful commentary throughout the match. On the sidelines, I interviewed coaches and players, capturing their perspectives and strategies in real-time, which greatly enriched the broadcast for our audience. I also learned to maintain composure under pressure, managing equipment and adapting to the fast-paced environment of live sports coverage. My role involved collaborating closely with the production team to ensure a seamless integration of my reports into the live broadcast, honing my communication skills and enhancing my ability to work as part of a team. The experience not only deepened my passion for sports journalism but also provided me with invaluable insights into the intricacies of radio broadcasting and the importance of delivering accurate and compelling narratives to engage listeners.
